Surya Grahan:  The first solar eclipse of 2025 will coincide with the Chaitra Amavasya on 29 March as per the Hindu calendar. The eclipse will take place from 2:21 PM and 6:14 PM at the same time as the Chaitra Amavasya.

However, the solar eclipse will not be visible from India, hence its Sutak Kaal will be applicable in the country. On this day, Saturn or Shani will change his position from Aquarius to Pisces resulting in Leo and Sagittarians facing Shani Dhaiya, as Capricorn will be free from Shani’s sade sati. In Hindu traditions, a solar eclipse is an auspicious time when all auspicious actions should be avoided, and pregnant women should follow a set of norms.

The solar eclipse will be visible in Germany, France, Hungary, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Switzerland, England and other regions.
