Zoya Akhtar took to her Instagram and describes each character in a different post. Agastya Nanda as “Archie Andrews,” Suhana will be playing “Veronica Lodge,” Khushi Kapoor as “Betty Cooper,” Mihir Ahuja as “Jughead Jones,” Aditi Dot as “Ethel Muggs,” Yuvraj Menda as “Dilton Doiley,” and Vedang Raina as “Riggie Mantle.” All the characters have been described in a quirky way by Zoya, Agastya, the heartthrob of Riverdale; Veronica, the sassy and classy; Betty Cooper, the girl next door; Jughead, the big foodie; Ethel, the witty and crafty; Dilton, the walking library of Riverdale; Riggie, the charmer.

As Netflix already has the American adaptation of the comic series (Riverdale), it is anticipated that the story might revolve around the same plot. For the uninitiated, the Riverdale sitcom has an ensemble cast based on Archie Comics characters, including KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as the series’ narrator, Jughead Jones. After a teenager is murdered in Riverdale, this gang of teens attempts to uncover the dangers that lurk within this seemingly harmless town. 

The Archies Release Date

Zoya Akhtar released new solo motion posters for The Archies on Netflix. Zoya gave the first glimpse at each character, as well as who plays them, ahead of the release. The Indian Adaptation of The Archies is all set to release in November on Netflix. The film centers on the concepts of heartbreak, freedom, love, and friendship. The coming-of-age musical rom-com is the Indian adaptation of the 1964 Archies.
