The Kerala Story, a movie by Vipul Shah and Sudipto Sen, is being called for to be banned more and more frequently. Since the release of the teaser and trailer, the movie has been the subject of controversy. The movie is currently performing remarkably well at the box office, though.

The Kerala Story was published on May 5 to great acclaim. The movie has already been the target of controversy because of the plot. In some southern states, not even the film's viewing was permitted. Even four days after its debut, there is still pressure to outlaw The Kerala Story.
