World News: US President Donald Trump has imposed a 100% tariff on all films made out of America. The move threatens the thriving Indian cinema audience abroad. The United States is emerging as the largest overseas market for Indian films but with the new tariff rules in “immediate effects” the repercussions will be felt on the Indian industry as well.
Trump called the non-US films a threat to national security, “It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda!”
