Turkey-Syria Earthquake: 264000 apartments were demolished and almost 46,000 people perished in the earthquake

It is still being determined how much damage the earthquake in Turkey and Syria did. From building rubble, bodies are being extricated. Several Turkish cities have been destroyed as a result of the earthquake that happened on February 6. Information indicates that more than 46,000 individuals have already passed away as a result of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. It is anticipated that there will be more fatalities.

Turkey President gives statement

The focus of rescue efforts is currently on those residents of the disaster zone who lack access to food and shelter during this cold winter. A few days prior, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan claimed that the situation following the earthquake is now under control.

According to the Turkish President, more than 20 million people have already evacuated the earthquake-affected regions, and hundreds of buildings have been reduced to rubble. Erdogan stated during a televised speech in Ankara that "we are confronting one of the largest natural disasters not only in our nation but also in the history of mankind."
