During the monsoon season, most tourists avoid visiting Goa. But it was TVS Motor Company's new Ronin 225 bike that drew us to Goa. The Ronin 225, which was released last week, is priced between Rs 1.50 lakh and Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a brand new motorcycle that has been released in three different models.

It is worth noting that there has never been a TVS motorcycle in the cruiser or scrambler category on the market. In terms of price, the Ronin 225 will compete with the Suzuki Gixxer 250, Bajaj Pulsar 250, and Dominar 250.

The top-tier Ronin 225 gets round LED headlights, brown seats, and 17-inch alloy wheels in an attempt to give it a retro appearance. In fact, the bike appears to be very light and compact. The Ronin 225 has a 795mm seat height, a 1,397mm wheelbase, and weighs only 160kg.

The motorcycle has a good build quality and is available in both single-tone and dual-tone colour schemes. The circular, fully-digital instrument console is also new. The rider can see a lot of information about the bike on it. This bike has a connectivity feature as well. This enables you to pair your phone and check incoming calls and messages, as well as navigate to specific locations.

TVS Ronin: Engine & Ride

For the Ronin 255, TVS has created a brand new 225cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This engine produces 20 horsepower and 19.9 Newton-meters of peak torque. The engine is also coupled to a 5-speed transmission. The bike's clutch is light, and the gearbox shifts smoothly.

The Apache RTR 200 is not as fast as the 4V, but the Ronin can comfortably reach speeds of 80-90 kmph. This motorcycle will give you a mileage of around 40 kmpl. Suspension and Safety Features on the TVS Ronin The TVS Ronin 225 will be available with single and dual channel ABS. The brake grip is good, and the modes can be switched between rain and city. The front end is handled by 41mm upside down forks, while the rear end is handled by an adjustable monoshock. The overall ride quality is satisfactory. Its highway performance is particularly impressive. Because of the soft nature of the rear suspension, driving on a turn requires extreme caution.
