UP Assembly Election 2022: What are the issues of the people in Meerut Cantt assembly constituency?

Baba Aughadnath Temple, the cradle of the first freedom struggle, comes in the Meerut Cantonment area. At the time of the British, this was the Kali Paltan temple because white we Indians called Black and the Indian soldiers stationed here were called Kali Paltan.

This seat of Meerut Cantonment is most important for Meerut district. It is also one of the biggest Cantonment areas of the country. People want the main portion of this cantt area to be developed for tourism so that the coming generation can know about this place.

The mercury of politics has risen here too. The pros and cons have their own arguments regarding voting. Some showed preference to law and order, while some counted the crisis of unemployment and inflation.

Election being at its peak, has increased the political influence in this area. Everyone has their own opinion for the upcoming voting. Some want the prices to go down, while others want better law and order. 

 Meerut cantt is known as the citadel of BJP. BJP won its first election here in 1989. Since then, every election has brought victory only for the BJP. After 25 years BJP has given the ticket to Amit Agarwal who won the elections in 1993 and 1996. Opposition has brought new candidates for their seat.
