OTT Releases This Week:  With much anticipation among the viewers, the OTT platforms have always kept us on our toes with the absolutely thrilling and engaging dramas released every week. The thrill of Diwali has been slowed down and people have returned to their binge-watch mode on weekends. This week, fans will be witnessing some extra thrill and entertainment as we have a huge lineup coming soon including Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer

Cillian Murphy plays J Robert Oppenheimer in this Christopher Nolan film, which also stars Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh. The film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who helped in developing the first nuclear bombs as part of the Manhattan Project. The film will be available digitally on Amazon Prime Video on November 21. 

Squid Game: The Challenge

The Korean drama Squid Game created a global phenomenon in the entertainment industry all over the world. With the captivating and nail-biting story, this show was well received by the international media and the Season 2 announcement has doubled the excitement level amongst the viewers. In a similar move, streaming platform Netflix has announced a game show that is based on the games played on the show. In ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’, 456 participants will compete for $4.56 million. With a total of 10 episodes, the reality game show will be streaming on Netflix from November 22, 2023. 

My Demon (K-Drama)

Starring ‘Nevertheless’ star Song Kang and Kim Yoo-Jung in the lead, My Demon is a fantasy rom-com that has been lately on the list of fans due to its captivating and somewhat unique storyline. While Song Kang will be playing the role of a demon, Kim Yoo-Jung will star as a chaebol heiress. The teaser has already created a rush of enthusiasm in fans and the show is set to release on Netflix on November 24, 2023, with 2 episodes per week. 

The Crown Season 6: Part 1

While the show has already been released on Netflix, we can’t skip it as the hype is worth mentioning! “The Crown” is a must-watch historical drama series, with the first part of the last season already premiered on November 16th. The Crown Season 6 will be released in two parts, the first in November and the second in December. This season will highlight the royal events that took place between 1997 and 2005. The last season picks up where Season 5 left off, focusing on Diana, Princess of Wales’ final years, including her inner struggle, falling marriage, controversy, and tragic death. The season will also include scenes from Tony Blair’s tenure as Prime Minister, Princess Margaret’s death, and Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones’ wedding.

The Village

With the bone-chilling trailer released recently, the Tamil horror series is set to mark the digital debut of South Actor Arya, including the key roles of Divya Pillai, Aazhiya, Aadukalam Naren, Geroge M, Poo Ram, Muthukumar, Kalai Raani, John Kokken, Pooja, Jayaprakash, Arjun, and Thalaivasal Vijay. The plot focuses on Gautham (Arya), who becomes stuck in an unsettling village. He and three others struggle hard to find his lost family and save them from the inexplicable events going place in the town in one night. Watch this thrilling show on Amazon Prime Video starting on November 24, 2023.

Leo 

With the voice of Adam Sandler, Leo is a class pet lizard who intends to go across the world before being sold. He decides to participate in a student take-home project. Soon, the kids learn that Leo can communicate and seek his assistance with various challenges they confront, making him a popular and adorable pet loved by everyone. This heartwarming show will be releasing on 21 November, 2023 on Netflix.
