US Bans TRF: China Supports US Action Against TRF, Calls for Unified Stand on Terrorism

US Bans TRF: In a significant step against terrorism, the United States has designated The Resistance Front (TRF), an organisation linked with Lashkar-e-Taiba, as a foreign terrorist organisation (FTO) and a global terrorist organisation. This is the same organisation that recently claimed responsibility for the terrorist incident in Pahalgam on April 22. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that banning TRF is a crucial step towards bringing justice to the victims of this incident. He also stated that America will have a zero-tolerance approach towards such terrorist organisations.

China Supported America’s Decision

China, which remains silent on most of the Indian political affairs, this time supported the decision. Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokeswoman Lin Jian stated that China strongly condemns all types of terrorism and believes the Pahalgam act was completely wrong. Lin stated that all countries should unify and take a strong stance against terrorism in order to safeguard regional peace and stability. This move by China may be considered the neighbouring country’s step towards making good relations with India.
