Weather Update: A Massive dust storm hit parts of Delhi and Noida on Thursday morning, affecting the lives of the residents. Weather across the country has been changing with heavy rainfall expected in the North Eastern states, including Meghalaya and Assam, along with some South coastal states, including Tamil Nadu. Heatwave conditions will prevail in several parts of central India. Know the complete weather of the Indian states in this article.

Dust Storm Hits Delhi

A massive dust storm hit Delhi and Noida on 15 May, affecting the lives of office-goers around 8:30 in the morning. A thick layer of dust covered parts of the national capital, along with the NCR.

The weather forecast predicts a relief from the heatwave condition in the city with a partially cloudy weather today with lightning and thunderstorms, followed by rainfall, thunderstorms, and a drop in maximum temperatures in the next few days. 

The maximum temperature today will hover around 40 degrees Celsius, with the minimum temperature dipping as low as 23 degrees Celsius. 

Heavy Rainfall Likely In Meghalaya, Assam, and NE States 

The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in several northeastern states for 15 and 16 May. 

Extremely heavy rainfall is predicted in Meghalaya on 15 May, with very heavy rainfall in Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram on 15 and 16 May.

 Widespread thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are likely in the regions with heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh on 17 and 18 May. 

Bihar weather 

Heatwave prevails in Bihar with a brief relief in sight as the IMD has predicted a 2-3 degrees drop in temperature in the next two days with thunder and lightning. However, the high levels of humidity can trouble the people of the state. 

Heat wave in Gujarat

Western India will experience a diverse range of climatic conditions, ranging from heat waves in some regions to rainfall in others. 

Heavy rain with thunderstorms is likely in parts of Marathawada and Madhya Pradesh, whereas heat waves are predicted in some parts of Gujarat. 

Rainfall in Southern India

The weather conditions in Southern India would be rainy for the next few days, with a forecast of heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh from 15 to 18 May.
