Weather Update: Rain has been falling in the national capital, Delhi, and its surrounding areas since Monday morning. Furthermore, rain and flooding have wreaked havoc in several sections of the country. The meteorological department has forecast rain in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. The IMD has also predicted light rain in the national capital over the following two days.
Cloudbursts, landslides, and flash floods caused substantial damage to Himachal Pradesh's transportation and infrastructure. Mandi and Chamba experienced cloudbursts once more, wreaking havoc. An orange alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in ten districts of the state on Monday as well. Due to poor weather and landslides, 243 routes across the state were closed on Sunday. However, flights from New Delhi to Shimla were regular.
