Weather Update: Heavy Rain Lashes Delhi-NCR and Madhya Pradesh, Causes Massive Disruption

Weather Update: Heavy rain batter Delhi-NCR and Madhya Pradesh resulting in flood-like situation and massive disruptions across the states. The downpour has brought a significant relief from the heat but the India Meteorological Department has forecasted rain alerts for worsening conditions. 

In Delhi-NCR, residents woke up to heavy rain on 31st July that has continued from last night leading to waterlogged roads. IMD has issued an alert for Delhi-NCR, forecasting heavy rain, thunderstorms with gusty winds, and lightning today. Haryana is on a red alert for heavy rain as well.

In Madhya Pradesh, heavy rainfall has resulted in flood-like situations. The Indian army has intervened to take out rescue operations in Guna and Shivpuri. Several villages have been flooded with 500 houses destroyed.
