No Diet Day 2025: World No Diet Day is observed annually on 6th May to promote body positivity and challenge diet culture. The day aims to promote healthy relationships with the body and question the societal fixation on counting calories and body weight.
The day was first held on 5 May 1992 in the United Kingdom. Founded by British feminist Mary Evans Young, the day was inspired by her own struggles with body acceptance and anorexia.
What started as a little movement by a bunch of women is today a relevant occasion to bring people back in tune with their body, food, and the idea of fitness.
